Cases that have been studied include: (i) one-source networks and networks with multiple sources either independent or linearly correlated; (ii) acyclic networks and cyclic networks; and (iii) delay-free and delayed networks. In all these environments, random network coding has brought interesting and valuable bene ts. Finally, some recent applications of network coding will be described in Section 4.3.
