The success of the global deployment was based on a modular approach to development, that is, work was divided so that each team had clear ownership. In this case, it meant that the China development team could send code for review and veri cation of design choices to the U.S. business knowledge team with a next day response. Document Sciences was able to deploy a follow-the-sun development and have the time zone work to its advantage.
