When something changes on the provider, data must be generated and sent to the APNS. This data, called the payload, is in the format of a JSON dictionary. JSON is an acronym that stands for JavaScript Object Notation. It s a simple format that allows associative arrays to be transferred between applications regardless of their implementation language.
